Fairfield Lambda Ltd. (“Lambda”) was incorporated in the British Virgin Islands on 7 December 1990. The directors of Lambda are Peter Schmidt (a Swiss national) and Jan Naess (a Norwegian national).
Lambda was a feeder fund of Fairfield Sentry Ltd. (“Sentry”) (which is in liquidation as well). Sentry carried on business as an investment fund, largely operating as a “feeder fund” into Bernard L. Madoff Investments Securities LLC. Lambda had a net asset value as at 30 October 2008 of CHF 44,374,209.
Lambda, as at the date of liquidation has issued 202,094.7200 shares with a nominal value of $0.01 per share, held by 25 Registered Shareholders.
The Registered Office for Lambda was care of the address of the Companies’ Registered Agent Codan Trust Company (B.V.I.) Ltd, PO Box 3140, Romasco Place, Wickhams Cay 1, Road Town, Tortola, BVI.
The Auditor for the years ending 31 December up to 2005 was PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V., P O Box 8800, 3009 AV Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Lambda did not instruct to have an audit for the year ending 31 December 2008.

The Companies’ US Attorney (until November 2008) was Mr. Andrew Goldstein, previously a sole practitioner of 488 Madison Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10022, USA and latterly of DLA Piper, 1251 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020‐1104, USA. Lambda was registered as a professional fund under Section 20(1) of the Mutual Funds Act, 1996 (as amended), British Virgin Islands.
On 23 April 2009, Mr. Christopher Stride and Mr. Kenneth Krys of KRyS Global were jointly appointed as Liquidators of Lambda pursuant to Claim No. 2009/74. Ms. Joanna Lau replaced Mr. Stride on 6 September 2010, and subsequently resigned on 23 November 2011. Mrs. Charlotte Caulfield was appointed joint liquidator on 24 June 2014.
